Is there an age requirement to participate in Porsche Experience?
All participants must be at least 21-years old and possess a full and current valid driver's license to participate.

Do I need a driver’s license to participate?
Yes, all driving participants need a complete and valid driver’s license to participate (non-learners). Driving licenses from Canada, the USA, EU and International Driving Permits (in English) in conjunction with a national driving license are accepted.

What cars will I drive at Porsche Experience?
Porsche Experience uses current Porsche models. Vehicles are listed on each program page and are subject to change based on availability.

What is your cancellation policy?
Experiences may be cancelled prior to the customer’s experience date, however cancellation fees apply. Please see below for the cancellation schedule. 

If a request is made to cancel participation in the event, the following non-refundable portion of the Event costs will be forfeited:

What is my damage liability?
Each participant has a liability of $5,000/per occurrence for damage to property and/or vehicles.

Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes. We offer monetary gift vouchers, which can be applied towards any Porsche Experience. All gift certificates are payable in full and are non-refundable. Please note, purchasing a gift voucher does NOT confirm your registration for an event. All gift certificates are non-refundable, transferable and do not expire.

Do you have to be a Porsche Owner to participate in a Porsche Experience?
No, anyone who is at least 21 years old with a current, valid Driver's License can register for Porsche Experience. Some fees and restrictions may apply.

Are mounted cameras allowed inside or outside the vehicles?
Porsche does not allow any type of customer owned recording device to be used on the outside of our vehicles during driving experiences. This includes, but is not limited to, cameras, GoPros®, etc.

Do you have to know how to drive manual to participate in a Porsche Experience? Do you have manual transmission vehicles? 
All Porsche Experience vehicles will be equipped with a PDK (automatic) transmission. We do not currently offer programs with manual transmission vehicles.

Should I be worried about motion sickness?
You will be experiencing G-Forces during your program, and some of our modules do induce spin on your vehicle. If you are prone to motion sickness you may take preventative medication at least one hour prior to your Experience.

Do you offer corporate/group experiences?
A Porsche Experience event for your clients or employees is an exciting and highly memorable choice for corporate entertainment / rewards. Porsche Track Experience programs take place from May through October. Porsche Ice Experience takes place in February. The programs can be customized based on your individual group needs. Porsche Track Experience

Where is Porsche Track Experience located?
The Porsche Track Experience is located at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario. (3233 Concession Road #10 Bowmanville, ON L1C 3K6)

What kind of modules do you have, can you explain them?
Dynamics Area(s): Test the speed, agility and lane-change performance on a large asphalt pad designed to simulate unique maneuvers you may encounter during your daily driving.  This includes, but not limited to Autocross Training, Slalom Course,  ABS/Threshold/LF braking, lane change & accident avoidance. 
 
Handling Circuit: Here, a driver will learn the finer points of choosing the correct paths when negotiating the curves and proper application of braking technique
 
Skid Pad Area: Experience and "unsteady state" at the low-friction circle with its EZ drift (low friction tires) set up for understanding and executing skid recovery.
 
Off Road Circuit: Featuring a 1:1 slope, creek bed, and a 45-degree vertical descent challenge to demonstrate the expansive capabilities of a Cayenne SUV’s off-road engineering and safety technology.

Launch Control: Experience the technological ability of the Porsche sports car, and understand why with Porsche Intelligent Performance gives the most efficient high performance sports cars on the planet.


How long is the track?
Canadian Tire Motorsport Park has two tracks that are used for Porsche Track Experience. The Grand Prix track, used for Performance and Masters programs, is 3.957km. The Driver Development Track, used for Warm-up and Precision programs, is 2.88km with multiple dynamic exercise paddock areas.

How many participants per class?
This varies based on the program, but participants are normally placed in a group of 8 people.

Can I bring a guest?
Participants are welcome to bring non-driving guests at no additional charge. Non-driving guests are not permitted inside the vehicles during driving activities.

I have never been on a race track before, is this too advanced for me?
Not at all! We have an excellent team of instructors that are adept at working with all skill levels. We start with the basics and go from there. Our classes are designed so that participants can go at their own pace. No one has to do anything they feel uncomfortable with.

Are travel and accommodations included for the Porsche Track Experience?
Although our registration fee does not include lodging accommodations, we can offer several options for accommodations in the local area. More information will be shared upon registering.

Which airport is most convenient to Porsche Track Experience?
If you are travelling by air, we recommend that you fly to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). From there, the drive to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park is approximately 65 minutes/98 km (61 miles).

Do you provide helmets and racing suits? 
We do provide helmets for the course, but participants are welcome to bring their own if it is rated Snell 2015 or higher. We do not require racing suits, therefore we do not provide them.

What should I wear?
Please wear clothing that provides some flexibility and breathability. Flat bottome shoes are required (no elevated heel shoes).

Can I bring my own car?
We provide the vehicles for the Porsche Experiences. You are welcome to bring your own, but it will have to stay in the parking lot.

Will my Driving Experience be cancelled due to weather?
In the case of inclement weather preventing the driving program from running safely, the driving program will be adapted as needed and resume when safe to do so.

How much time is spent in the classroom vs track time?
We believe the best way to learn is from behind the wheel. Each participant will spend less than one hour in a classroom style driving briefing in order to effectively communicate important information relating to safety and driving theory. Depending on the program course offering, the remainder of the day is spent alternating between exercises; actual driving time can be between 4.5 to  6 hours per day.

What are some of the highlights or landmarks I’ll visit during Travel Experience?
Participants will experience a predetermined route on each Travel Experience which will highlight numerous local destinations. All of our routes are designed by our team of Certified Porsche Instructors whom are familiar with the areas.

How many participants will be with me during the trip?
Up to 16 participants can participate in the Travel Experience.

Do I need a driver’s license to participate?
Yes, all driving participants need a complete and valid driver’s license to participate (non-learners). Driving licenses from Canada, the USA, EU and international driving permit (in English) in conjunction with a national driving license are accepted.

Are travel and accommodations included?

Porsche Ice Experience

Where does Porsche Ice Experience take place?
Porsche Ice Experience takes place at Estérel Resort and Mecaglisse driving facility in Quebec, Canada, approximately 70 minutes/92 km (57miles) from Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport (YUL).

The circuit at Mecaglisse features six independent standard track layouts:

2. Ice track (0.4 km) Dynamic Area, Handling & Lapping Sections
3. Skid circles of 60 m and 80 m diameter. Oversteer / Understeer Skid Recovery / Precision Drifting
4. Ice track (1.0 km) Dynamic Area, Handling & Lapping Sections
5. Snow track (2.5 km) Forest Track for Ice Force Program Offering
6. Skid circle of 120 m diameter. Oversteer / Understeer Skid Recovery / Precision Drifting

How long is the track?
Mecaglisse features 15 kilometres of track spread across a 700 acres footprint. The facility includes many different driving modules including skid circles and closed tracks.

The number of participants is dependent upon the level:
Ice Trial - 48 participants
Ice Intro - 48 participants
Ice Experience - 40 participants
Ice Force - 32 participants

All accommodations and meals are included during Porsche Ice Experience. Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements to and from the event location.

If you are travelling by air, we recommend that you fly to Montreal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport (YUL). From there, the drive to the Estérel Resort is approximately 70 minutes/92 km (57 miles). Ground transportation is at your expense and not included in the program fees.

What should I wear?
Since the temperatures in this part of Quebec can be between -2°C and -20°C, we recommend bringing along appropriate cold weather clothing. Temperatures can reach –20°C and participants will be outside for up to 15 minutes at a time. In addition, we suggest bringing the following items; sunglasses, lip balm, sunscreen/hand cream and comfortable, warm shoes with a hard sole and grip, which are suitable for driving (no open toe or high heel shoes for driving).
We also recommend wearing several layers of clothing since this will allow for better air circulation and insulation. The dress code for dinner is smart casual.

We provide the vehicles for Porsche Ice Experience. You are welcome to bring your own, but it will have to stay in the parking lot.

We allow for non-driving participants to join you at Ice Experience. The cost is dependent on the level and includes double occupancy accommodations, breakfast and dinners. Non-driving participants are at their leisure for the driving days and are not permitted to attend at the track.  Estérel Resort offers many outdoor activities and has a full service spa.
